Title: Gabapentin (Neurontin) - the opiate withdrawal med and Tranquilizer

This is a mainstay drug for migraines and Gabapentin is useful in the treatment of anxiety associated with bipolar disorder. Gabapentin also provides significant pain relief in about a third of people who take it for fibromyalgia or chronic neuropathic pain. It is also used for treating withdrawal from Cocaine and opiates.

In higher doses, around 800mg to 1200mg, Gabapentin gives a very nice high. Here are some comments taken from Erowid:

Nice! I fuckin used to love this.  1200mg is where it gets me off pretty good for an evening after work

I wonder how much Gabapentin would help with Meth withdrawal.

Hey nomad,
I haven't heard of it being used for meth withdrawals, mostly coke and opiates. Seems to help a lot of people with a lot of things though!

Neurontin was the best thing that I would take for pain (mostly nerve pain) I loved it. It caused me headaches (which is a common side effect) so, I had to quit taking it, but i wouldnt doubt it a bit if it helped with opiate wd's, etc. It always took away my pain and knocked me the hell out.... I wish i could take it... (doesnt mean you cant, lol)...
